Time for Our Christmas Tree!!

Happy Sunday Everyone!!!! I hope you guys all are having a fantastic weekend!!! Today I wanted to share some pictures of my family and our tree cutting experience. It was so much fun, it was cold but the kids had a blast!!!! This will for sure be one of our yearly traditions. We have had a prelit tree for years...but nothing smells as much like Christmas as a fresh tree. Seeing the smile on my kids face hiking and picking out trees was well worth the cold...!!! LOL!

I really think we walked the whole farm looking for the perfect tree. We finally did!!! We took a hay ride and the kids also got to see some reindeer. I took a photo of the biggest one!!! I hope you all enjoy my pics and thanks so much for stopping by today!!!

Awww you are sooo lucky!!! I sooo miss these times when we would go and cut down a fresh tree!!! And a REINDEEER????!!! How awesome to see, you are sooo lucky missy!!!! LOL

Here in Utah I have no idea how to even go about getting fresh trees, you have to get some kinda lisense or something to do it, so we havent bothered. Now in California we would head up to the santa cruz mountains and we always had fun!!! :) Love the pics!!!!!

How neat!!!

Hugs,

You can see the excitement and joy in the kid's faces. What a fun tradition to start. Your tree is a beauty.

I'm glad I'm not a reindeer. Those antlers look uncomfortable. lol

How lucky to go out & just get one. In Hawaii we wait for the shipped containers to come in...LOL I use an artificial one. Daughters got allergies to pine. Have a great week. Don't forget to post pics of it decorated now.

I'm totally jealous of your tree and getting to cut it down yourself! We used to do that when I was a kid but I haven't had the oppurtunity to do it in years!

Thanks for sharing these lovely photo's Crystal. It brings back so many memories of when we lived in New Zealand my birth place. There is nothing like having the real thing. I love the reindeer. Something we don't have here in Australia or New Zealand. That must have been a sight to behold.
Your family look so happy.

What wonderful memories your children will have of this day!! I still remember when my dad would take us girls to go on the "back 40" and pick out that PERFECT tree ... what fun!! Now my daughter & her family do this every year ... the kids sure look forward to it! Glad you didn't have a foot of snow to trudge through to find that PERFECT tree!!!

That looks like sooo much fun Crystal! :) We had a lot of fun picking out our tree in the snowy hills a few years ago. And we have a reindeer farm a half hour from us so it's fun for the kids to say they've seen REAL LIVE REINDEER! lol. Great family memories =) Have a Merry Christmas!!
